‘What is the feeling that lies at the depths of our hearts?’. That’s behind everything I do and recently I was prompted to write about my story – my reasons for using organic cotton and why I don’t handprint every tea towel any more.

By definition a pattern is an object, motif or symbol all over the canvas, be it in a painting or a surface such as a wall, textile or floor. Whatever the medium it can be a work of art.

I'm happy to join The Shed Collective market in Oratia, West Auckland every fortnight. This is predominately a food-only market and what goes well with food? Fabric!

Sometimes it takes a few ‘wrongs’ to make a right. It took me a few drafts to breathe space into my manuka print. I started off with reflecting what I saw to making a more harmonious experience of the flower, as opposed to mirroring a close replica of nature.
